| Each marriage is officiated by a third person. In no. 1 it is Cupid who plays his part. In no. 2 it is the Devil and of course in no. 3 The marriage for spiritual love it is Our Lord. |

A complete set is rare. The series is much copied after and must have been popular.
The second state is published by Cl.Jansz. Visscher ca. 1650.
At the end of the 17th century Johannes de Ram publishes the series again. |
