Toulouse-Lautrec must have made numerous sketches of the people present at the Procès Arton. He was brought before the court of law because of substantial fraud connected to the building of the Panama channel. Three large lithographs show the Procès in 1896.
This drawing apparently is not used for one of the prints. |
