| Exellent impression and condition. Printed on heavy paper. Signed in the plate "W.W.97" and in pencil "Witsen" right lower margin. In 1896-1897 Witsen visited Rotterdam and made three etchings from his sketches and watercolours. Only a few proodfs were printed from the plates. In 1906 however Witsen's work was more popular and he reworked the plates and sold them to Van Wisselingh. 20 proofs with roman numbers and 95 normal impressions were made. |
